Losing connection when Navision is idle

My company uses since the start of 2012 Navision 2009 R2. Since the end of august/ the begin of September our users get the error:
“net.tcp://localhost:7046/DynamicsNAV/Service" is either unavailable or your connection has been lost. Do you want to attempt to reconnect”
When the users try to reconnect it fails and they have to restart Navision again. This happens always when Navision has been idle for a while. The duration that Navision has been idle differs it can happen within a few minutes while it also can last more than one hour.
What we already have checked:
- The energy management on the computers is turned off;
- The processes on the server seems not to be the problem as users can make a connection directly after shutdown;
- It does not happen when people print reports;
- If it happens it does appear in the event viewer from the user but not in the event viewer from the server;
- All reports/ items have been compiled, just to be sure;
- I know that there is an option where you have to run some queries on the sql server (Enabling object change listener). This should not be necessary as Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server and the database are on the same computer;
Further I have found and read several topics trough Google search and here on Mibuso. Only I haven’t found a suiting solution. Does anybody of you know something else I could try in order to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

When you say enery management are you talking about "Power Options" in control panel.
Or the Nic's "power managment tab" in properties of the nic found in Device manager?0 -
Pim,
have you checked the value for the Client Reconnect Period setting in your CustomSettings file?<!-- Sets the grace period within which the client can reconnect to a running session. Time span format: [dd.]hh:mm:ss[.ff] dd: days hh: hours mm: minutes ss: seconds ff: fractions of a second Or "MaxValue" to indicate there is no timeout. --> <add key="ClientReconnectPeriod" value="00:10:00"></add>
We have seen it too that people went to a meeting or lunch and left the RTC Client open and lost connection.
I hope that this helps,

Willy,
This one I forgot to mention in my start post. But our consultant mentioned this issue also a few months ago and to be sure this client reconnect period was extended to 45 minutes (instead of 10 minutes). Unfotunately this did not solve the problem.
What I was wondering can it be a license issue? Meaning that people get kicked out of Navision as their session has been idle for some time and somebody else want to access Navision? On the other hand it also should mean that when everbody is actively using their session other people are not able to access Navision. This last part has not occured yet.... hmmmmm.0
