Hi,
When I want to allocate a existing lot N° in an order, I acquire the following message:
"You cannot state serial N° or lot N° on a demand when it is linked to a supply by binding = Order-to-Order". ????
I need some help!

Go to the sales order and look at functions and order tracking. I would guess there will be a production order listed there, this means the production is disctinctly linked to the sales order, and the lots being produced on the production order will be used on the sales order, you cannot choose stock as they are in production. Well that is what it sounds like

Thanks AdamRoue and SuperSage77 as well. I faced the same problem and got the solution from this post. Thanks a ton!!!!0

So...how do you cancel the reservation if you need to ship a different serial/lot no. during processing?
We have a customer that generally uses order-to-order but at times they will finish a different production order first and then they want to reserve against that (cancel the existing reservation and then reserve against a different production order). But they can't cancel the reservation because it's an Order-to-Order binding.
Is there any way to cancel the reservation without closing out the production order and/or sales order?Scott Frappier

On the sales order you can go to Line>Reservation Entries to review them, then Function>Cancel Reservation if you need to break the link.0

I have tried that - I receive an error that basically states you cannot delete the reservation when the Binding is set to Order-to-Order. I have also tried to cancel the reservation from the production order side as well...still receive the same error.Scott Frappier

I am having the same issue in NAV 2013, did you find any solution?

We did not - every time this occurs (which is now pretty rare after we made a business processing change), we need to manually go into the reservation entries and correct them at the table level...sorry.Scott Frappier

What do you correct in the reservation entries. I tried to cancel the reservation this way but the I can't post the order saying there must be a reservation.
