License File

I am having a problem loading a new license file.
Its a C/SIDE Server database.
I have renamed the new license to Fin.flf
I searched the entire server for Fin.flf and replaced with the new file.
I stopped the service and restarted the service.
On open of the navision database I still see the old license.
What am I doing wrong? ](*,)

the fin.flf must be in same folder as the server files (server.exe)...0

I tried this out, but it didn't work.
The Server uses the CRONUS.flf (by default).
Just overwrite the CRONUS.flf0 -
Hi!
Did you:
a)
- Paste the licence file.
- Stop the service.
- Start the service.
or b)
- Stop the service
- Paste the licence file
- Start the service
b) will work, but a) will not because the service will still be running and will not let you paste over a file in use.
Sorry if you have already tried to do this - Just want to eliminate it as a possibility.Edward Bloomfield

Cronus.flf is used, if no fin.flf is found... :-)0 -
Hi,
The server will pick up the license automaticaly after a while.
This can be handy when a customer is Live and you do not want to stop the databeast.0 -
The server open the new license after all users are disconected and the database file is automatically closed...0

You mean it is not needed to stop and restart the service?
What's happening if there are one or more clients who never stop working (e. g. Job Scheduler or NAS)?
Do we have to stop and restart the services in such a case?Timo Lässer

Yes, in this case I think (but I not tested it) you need to restart the service...0
