Hi all,
I am going to implement NAV 2013 for a client. Is it necessary that the user login must be windows authentication login for logging to nav 2013 since NAV 2013 dont support classic or database logins also supported in NAV 2013.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
chandru.

You can use other options like Username and NavUserpassword.

It doesn't support DB authentication because the user doesn't authenticate with the sql server. The user only authenticate with Service tier. Service tier uses a different user to authenticate with SQL server.
Here are the option available to authenticate with service tier.

There are no "Database Logins" supported, but there are "NAV Logins". It means, athentication is not on SQL level, but on NAV Server level. Behaviour is same - user must enter login and password to log in.0
