Hi,
I don't think installing Navision 2009 R2 for a domain user will be a problem.
Can you elaborate your problem / issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Saurav Dhyani

i want to install NAV 2009 server and Database component and i dont want to use the domain Administrator, what are the priviliges i should give to the user i will be using?
Thank you0 -
Hi,
If its just for installation then you must be -
1) Member of Local administrator on the computer where you are installing.
2) Your Windows Login should access to SQL Server and rights for Sysadmin.
Domain administrator is not required for installation of Navision. This right is only require during three tier installation and just to delegate the service.
For 1 Tier and 2 Tier installation you just require above listed rights.
Thanks & Regards,
Saurav Dhyani

i need to install the database component on a DBSERVER and the Server Component on a APPSERVER will i need the domain admin ?

Hi,
If i would be specific then you don't require domain admin rights during installation of Navision in three tier.
But during configuration you will require the domain admin rights.
Thanks & Regards,

yes, provided that the account you do install NAV with has admin permissions (e.g. read/write on disk, modify registry, install services,...)0

During installation the user doing the actual installation need to have administration right on that specific machine. This can be any user part of the admin group on that machine.“This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.”
