Repackage finished goods & costing

Can someone tell me how they consume materials and capture cost when an item is repackaged. Our situation is that our Quality team will flag an item and we'll have to repackage. the original Production Order is closed. Is there a repackage journal or way to consume the packaging materials & cost to the finished goods? The item number will remain the same.

One way is you can setup a production BOM and set your routing as your labor cost. But if you do this, make sure you apply the patch for adjust cost process or else it'll go into infinite loop.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Hi Alex ,

Does adjust cost batch job patch is applicable to all nav versions ?lally0 -
Another way is to negative adjust the item and positive adjust it back in with a high cost. You will need to allow the user to change the GPPG so it can hit the right G/L accounts.
If the repackaging is done by a 3rd party, you would transfer it to another warehouse, and when it's returned back to you, you can allocate the vendor fees using item charges.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
