Hi,
Might be that in your 222 scenario that you have hit an Office 2010 bug ?
There's an issue with naming the OneNote books ... With OneNote 2010 it
only Works on Skydrive / O365 if the name of the book contains a blank char
e.g. :
https://d.docs.live.net/b999999d99d99f99/Dynamics NAV mobile Notes
grab it from OneNote properties - Change location - copy it from the File
Explorer path.
please let me know if that Works for you
OneNote works perfectly with SkyDrive in my case.
I used different .one files named
- "Sales Header"
- "Customer"
The issue is not between skydrive and onenote but between NAV and a path that is an URL.0 -
Can you give a basic repro scenario? Then we can validate if this is a Nav problem.Eric Beran

I've verified that the SkyDrive http is working.
As mention avoid using space in folder names, then you might see the error you got.
Also ensure that the OneNote book is fully synchronized and people are invited to access it before you start creating notes from NAV“This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.”

Create a first record note for Terrtory=MID
Now share the notebooks:
- Share
- Web
- Public
Here two generated URI:
1) onenote:https://d.docs.live.net/b58b6f8d5eb0dea9/Pubblica/NavNotes/
2) https://skydrive.live.com/edit.aspx/Pub ... ocuments?&
Now let's do 3 simple tests
1) Create a new note in NAV for a different territory record: a new notebook under "c:\NavNotes" is created. No error but is not what we want.
2) Update the NAV Settings with first Url (onenote:https...) and create a new note.
Error: File NoteBooks not exists. Check the location...
3) Retry with second Url (https://...) and create a new note.
Different error: could not communicate with the OneNote working folder.Check the location and permission...0 -
there should be a blank char in the name of the OneNote book file name AND that is important due to a bug in OneNote – so strange enough, it only works for books with a blank char in the name0

Spaces or no Spaces nothing changes: NAV2013 at the moment don't support http(s) url to onenote:0 -

I even tried
https://skydrive.live.com/edit.aspx/Public/Nav One Note/Record Space?cid=d84e6d0a1898a569&id=documents?&
instead of
https://skydrive.live.com/edit.aspx/Pub ... ocuments?&

Hi guys,
old thread, but I like to add some value to it. Luc encouraged me to do so
After several hours of testing, it seems that I have found good way for my OneNote "issues" which may work for you too. I have installed Windows Essentials (a subset, http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... tials-home) on my machines. This also includes the IE Windows Live ID Sign-in Control Add-On.- Configure Dynamics NAV to use the https://d.docs.live* like SkyDrive Link to a OneNote Notebook, close Dynamics NAV 2013 Client. You Can find this link in File -> Notebook Information -> Settings -> Properties -> Location, maybe you have to click "Change Location" and copy the Location from there.
- Install Windows Essentials (activate only one Product like Messenger or SkyDrive)
- Windows Update: Install KB2434419
- Open Internet Explorer and manage Add-Ons. Activate “Windows Live ID Sign-in Control”.
- In Internet Explorer, go to SkyDrive for an existing OneNote document, use „Get a Link“ and get link to edit (Anyone with this link can see and edit the files you share). Copy Link.
- On another computer (with Windows Essentials) open this link in IE and select “Edit in OneNote”.
- In the following sign in dialog, add your credentials (all Microsoft Account credentials should work) and activate “Sign me in automatically” or prepare for additional credential popups.
- Now open Dynamics NAV on this computer and activate OneNote Integration.
This worked for different Microsoft Accounts on different machines for me and colleagues, accessing the same OneNote document.
Cheers,
CarstenCheers
