Table locked by report

Hi
I have a report which writes lots of records in a table. The table is a kind of import table from external file.
During the import no other user can run the same report. We get an error (table xy is locked by...).
As soon as the first report is finished, the second starts without problems. Since the imports needs quite some time, it would be great to process them in a parallel manner.
Strange: I made some test with code units. Code units seem to be able to write simultanously to the same table. Do code units an reports have a different locking behavior?

Any ideas?

    What you can do is prepeare everything in Temporary Tables.

    These are not locked in Navision.

    When you are finised preparing your data you can put the data in the real table, this can be done quite fast, so nobody notices the locking.
