Mass devaluation for Item

Hi Everybody,
I have got a client which devalues the proper stock after 1 year. This can be done through the revaluation journal but considering the large amounts of stock it would be extremely complicated. Is there some method to apply this?

Write a process to negative adjust all of your inventory, then positive adjust it back with the new value.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

I was actually asking whether there is something out of the box. IF i had to develop it I would rather mimick the revaluation journal process.0

The out of the box solution is the Revaluation Journal.
Perhaps you can help us by explaining why the revaluation journal is so complicated.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

I have a client that very similar. Stock is revalued according to its age at the close of a financial year. They have just under 60,000 Items. I think they can explain why a revaluation journal is so complicated.David Singleton0 -

I still don't understand, what's so complicated? Out of the box, you enter that crap by hand.
If they want an efficient way of entering that or calculating based on a formula, write a quick function.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

Having to insert thousands of stock and then working out the revaluation amount is no joke. Imagine depreciating all fixed assets in a company having thousands of fixed assets. It's the same case scenario.
Anyway thanks for your replies.0 -

I still don't understand where the "complicated" part of the process is.
It's tedious, but not complicated.Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog
