                    Hi everyone,
I am trying to test the FIFO costing method under Nav 2009...
I did the following:
I bought 100 pieces of an Item with unit cost 30, then 20 pieces with unit cost 40.
I sold 30 pieces with unit cost 30(the default cost displayed in the sales order).
When I tried to adjust my Item cost, the result was 32,222...
Isn't that the average???Isn't it supposed to be just 30???

I tested the LIFO method too, it seems that NAv works by evaluation of the average cost of the remaining number of items.
Correct me if I am wrong :?0 -
FIFO works. Either you are looking at the wrong fields or the wrong tables, or you are misinterpreting the data. Go and look at your COGS account and see what number is there.David Singleton0
