Hi everyone,
I am getting confused between Variants and Substitutions for an Item...
Can anyone tell me the difference between them???

Variants could be "Red, Green, Blue" or "Big,Small, Middle" if it is still same item but different variant... :-) substitution is between two items, which have similar attributes, but e.g. one is old and is not mnufactured anymore and was replaced by another item... like Wndows 7 and Windows 8... :-)0

Substitutions don't have to be old and new. They are items that are interchangeable.
For instance windshield wipers for your car. There are different brands that sell wipers that fit on the same car. They are different Items, but you could use any one of them. They are substitutes.0 -
