MRP Start Date - End Date

Would appreciate some assistance in this area - we are ready to go live however when we run MRP the start dates show no logic in terms of how they are created.
Is anyone out there successfully running Axapta 3.0 with MRP and multiple products and work centres.
Am aware that there are many solutions available in SP3 for fixing issues (24 to be precise) - just curious as to who has successfully overcome this problem
Thanks in Advance

Hi Syahmi
There are several customers running MRP in complex situations. What exactly is the problem that is preventing you from going LIVE? Maybe I can be of some help but you have to tell the problem specifically..

Hi there,
There are noticable problems with the Master Planning module especially for Axapta 3.0 SP2 (since you mentioned you are upgrading to SP3).
It might not be feasible to upgrade from SP2 to SP3 as it would mean that you might loose your existing customizations (if any).0 -

Notice that the production start date (order date) and the production completion date (delivery date) is way off. We are only looking at one product, there are actually more than one product in the Master Plan (the plan has been filtered to show only product 900.0001.52).
Looking at the above sample, we can see that production orders actually start on 5/8/2005 but completes in 22/9/2006.
For the above product (900.0001.52), there is only one sub-assembly called SMT process.

The above is the explosion of the 900.0001.52 product which shows the raw materials and planned production orders (note that there are some items which are phantom production orders means the production order is NOT required but the raw materials are required to be picked).

Notice that the SMT process (based on the route) will only start on 5/9/2006 and end on 6/9/2006.

The above are the setup of the other operations for product 900.0001.52 (remember that the sub-assembly must complete before the final product assembly can begin). The SMT sub-assembly completed on 6/9/2005 and the other operations continue on 13/9/2006 all the way to 22/9/2006.
The full product assembly was from 5/9/2006 – 22/9/2006 (a total of 14 working days). Note that according to the users, the 14 days is very close to the actual production time required for the production of 2010 qty of product 900.0001.52. Therefore, I made a general assumption that all the routes are correctly setup.
=============================
Now with that out of the way, I would like to know what could contribute to the incorrect start and end dates for a planned production order. I know there are lots of setup and external factors involved in master planning which will impact the start and end date ... however, in order for me to find out what is wrong .. there must be somewhere I can start so that I can build a checklist of what points to look out for which will cause the incorrect suggestion of the dates by the system?
Please advice. Thank you.0
