Very Slow Page Opening RTC

Hi there,

I have an issue where its very slow opening a sales order page in RTC it takes around 15 seconds to open, there is a customised factbox on the page, when i delete this factbox from the page it returns to a more normal 3 seconds.

Windows server 2008 r2
Build 32012

This is slow from the server and even slower on the clients.

I am not a developer but what are the obvious first things i should check?

As you mentioned this is because of Fact Box..
Check what the fact box is doing?may be it is calculating lot of values?

Without being too techy initially, try to edit (customize) the FactBox by removing some of the fields. Perhaps remove all, then add one by one until you discover which one is not effeceint with presenting data. At that point, tell the develop about it, or leave it as is.

if i hide the whole factbox pane it still takes about 10 seconds to open an order.

it's something specific with that factbox, are there any things i can check? properties etc

FlowFields. If you have slow flowfields they might be the problem

i've also had a problem (later recognised as bug) with sorting order of the factbox.
