Grouping in Report

Hi,

I Just want to show group wise Total of the Amount field from the G/L Entry Table. The group is based on the Document No. field.

What I have done.

1. Creating a report on G/L Entry table. DataItem is G/L Entry Table.
2. Sorting on Document No.
3. GroupTotalFields is Document No.
4. TotalFields is Amount
5. Print Amount field in GroupFooter section

Is there any design issue because this Report does not print correctly ??? It prints only one value infinitely.
what is the reason ?

    I don't know why the problem is only with amount field whether if you use debit or credit field instead of amount it's working fine.

    has anybody came over it?

    Are you filtering or do you have any other code in the report? Normally the Amount field will total to zero for a Document No. over the G/L Entries. If the amount that is repeating is not zero, then there is something else in the report causing this as I just created such a report and I am getting correct totals for all Document Nos. (zero if run wide open, correct totals if I filter on G/L Account).
