User Portal Configuration Problem

hi,

I am configuring User Portal

Installed the following softwares & OS

1. Windows 2000 with SP4
2. IIS(Internet Information Server 5.0)
3. Navision Database Server
4. Navision Application Server
6. C/FRONT
7. Navision 3.7 client (Start perameters runasupas)
8. Microsoft Digital Dashboard
9. Configured User Portal in User Portal Server
10. User's are windows Login Users
11. Registered LoginAux.dll in client machine

Problem : In client machine it is showing User Portal Login Screen

After Login it is showing the following error

"LoginAux was not found! Please contact your administrator"



Please help me

    Hi suman,

    To be honest I don't remember I ever managed to make User Portal work...

    The last thing I remember is throwing the server out the window!!! :D:D

    Hi,

    It seems that i have got over the problem of LOGINAUX.DLL problem after all .

    You also have to follow the following procedures:
    1. Change the security level in to enable the ActiveX components list in INternet Security in IE Tools options.
    2. register the dll with regsrv32

    But i have still not been able to get with the Application server. I get the following Message after i try to login

    The User Portal Application Server cannot be found

    ](*,)

    Any suggestions are appreciated !!

    Hi Suman,


    Have you made the changes described in the section 1.3 of the w1w1upig.pdf (User Portal Installation Guide)?

    Have you run the application server with the "runasupas" as show at the page 13 of the same pdf?

    I have ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) a million times for user portal...

    Now i am getting the following error


    Dashboard Error
    (404) Resource Not Found

    I never see the UP working... I had same problem, I installed it 10x without success. I gave it up. I think that there are problems between MS DDB 2.01 which is on the CD and IE 6.0... I had problem to run the example dashboard after installing the dashboard system...

    Hi
    If my memory don´t fail me, I think the solution is register msddsc.dll library in Factory folder.

    Go START -> RUN and type the following instruction

    regsvr32 C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Factory\msddsc.DLL

    I thik this is the solution.

    If this doesn´t work, in factory folder is an .JS file named INSTALL*** (I don´t remember). Double click on it.

    Even i did the following things still i am getting the same error

    Questions:
    1. Any changes are required in Dashboard.asp?
    2. User Portal Server has Windows 2000 server as OS on win32 partion. Will it causes any problem?
    3. In /Inetpub/WWWroot/Dashboards directory has no folders. Any folders are required? (Form/User....etc)
    4. After Login.asp page which page should open by default(Welcome???)?
    5. Executing executed DashboardAdmin.js file is nothing but clicking on that file?

    Any suggestions are appriciatable.
