Need help - Report performance slow w/ Win 7

Good morning,

I have the following problem:

I wrote a report with a dataitem file which reads the entries of a specific directory from the hdd.

The directory contains about 10,000 files. Only files matching *abc*.jpg are displayed.

On Win XP this report runs about 1 min, same with Win Server 2008 R2. When I use Win 7 it runs about 30 minutes!?!

The NAV client (5.01) is equal on all operating systems and the mentioned directory is on a network storage within the company. SQL Server is a 2008 Enterprise Edition.


Any ideas?

    Can give it a try after disabling the Windows Firewall on the Win 7 client PC... :)

    Check, if the folder is or is not compressed
    Try to run the client as Admin
