Why does it display the windows login name? This seems like a security risk and very difficult for certain people to be identified. Can we display the user's full name?

It's a system part so you can't change the behavior. I have written an add-in to duplicate the notifications feature and add some additional functionality.

It has active directory integration so you can send notes to groups and see who the name of the person for that login. Perhaps it could help with what you are trying to do.0
