Hi,

I am looking for hardware sizing requirements for High Availability for NAV Server for 100+ users & fast database size growth (about 1 GB database size increase daily). Can we keep one server as stand- by replica for using one the hardware failure of first server?

I believe the standard hardware requirement document from Microsoft doesn't have recommendations for this kind of load.

It depends on how the 1 gig is getting in the database. Also what are the 100 users doing. Define "high availability". How many hours a day do the users work. What external access is there. What is the business. What Add-ons are they using. Is bespoke coding done sensibly.

You can't just state 2 or 3 out of 100 questions and get a meaningful answer. In reality though you should spend money to get this analyzed properly other wise the costs are going to get out of hand.

in reality, 100 users is not really a problem, and 360 gig per year is not really a problem, but you need to answer all the questions. One huge difference, is how long the system can be down, 1 sec, 5 minutes 15 minutes, 1 hour or a day. going from 5 minutes to 1 second will at least triple your hard ware costs.
