Hi All,
We have a demo on, "MS Dynamics NAV ERP on Cloud". I'm responsible to implement the same.
I found some information like this,
- Install Database Server & NAV Server on terminal server
- Install and Configure RTC on client PC
here, client connect to TS database through LAN (correct me if I'm wrong).
but, how to use internet to connect database from client PC?
Looking forward for suggestions
Thanks

That makes no sense. Obviously the people that did the demo should have the skills to implement this. One hopes they have done it before and understand the implications. If you have never done it before, it will end out costing you more than just going back to them and letting them do it.

Thanks David
But there should be some way out to do, right?
I'm asking, if any one can share related ideas. How one will know if he didn't try?
lets forget about demo, I want to try it personally.
any ideas?
Thanks

I think, I missed to mention it clearly !!
I would like to implement MS Dynamics NAV ERP on cloud, after implementation I will have to go for demo. I don't think of demo if I don't know how to implement.
I'm unlucky to get some help from Google
would be grateful to share, if anyone did implement Navision on cloud !!
Thanks

This is the point you seem to miss.
The people that did the demo for you must know how its done, so why don't you ask them?David Singleton0 -

Actually, no one did demo. So, no one to ask for help.
In fact, I'm going to implement this and then will present it to interested customers. It's completely internal.
David, please guide me if you know the process to implement.
your help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks for the reply

OK it's clear now.
The cloud is just a new word for hosting.
You will have a hosted SQL server and a hosted terminal server. Install Navision on the cloud and connect the client to the clouded SQL server.
I am not sure what you need to know, but you will get all the information from your hosting provider.David Singleton0 -

In fact, there is no hosters for us, we are trying to host our own structure.
I want to know, How client connect to the cloud?
as of now, I know client connects to SQL Database through RTC based on the client configuration settings. Here, we specify terminal server name and database instance.
But, I want to know how client connects to database using internet browser?
Thanks

Is Navision fully web based?
what I mean is,
is it possible to use NAV without client through web browser?
Thanks

Are you suggesting that the OP is about to set up a demonstration of NAV 2013 in the cloud?David Singleton0 -
