2013 lasts longer.
2009 is already starting to sound beyond it's use by date.David Singleton0 -
Yep, NAV 2013 is what they're calling it, announced today at Convergence 20120

Why is it named 2013 when expected release date is in 2012?0

I hope they postpone it, but i don't think they will. My reason is that it will give me time with a project on TAP program.0

Microsoft likes to follow the car manufacturer convention.
If they released it in 2013 it would be 2014.
They are still saying 1 release per year. Should be interesting if they support each release until 5 years after end of life.David Machanick

NAV 2009 was released at the end of 2008 too... it is standard...0

OK..so may be initially MS set release number as NAV 6,7,8 and when release date is confirmed they modify it to NAV 2009,2013 etc.. :-k0

Yes, if the name is in doublequote, it is "Internal" versioning (everywhere in the file versions etc.). Same for OFFICE "14", OFFICE "15" (aka Office 2010, Office xxxx).0
