adding new group header for date not working

Hi all

I am trying to build a report based on the Serial No. Information table and I want to group my data according date, but it is not allowing me.
So it is grouping my data only according to Item No., Variant No. and Serial No.

I want to group my data by date, so in this date i have these serial number ect.

I tried by adding a new group, but it is not working.

Can you please suggest how can I solve this issue?

Is it in classic or RTC?

What key do you have in DataItemTableView?

Is there any date field in Serial Number Information table or how do you want to do it?

Classic.

SORTING(Item No.) ORDER(Ascending).

Yes there is a date field in this table, added by me.

If you have to group it by date then you have to add the field in report key property..

You want to group it only on date or with some other field combination?

So i want to do grouping by item (like it is now) and for each item add grouping by date.

Just read the help documents how Grouping works on reports..

you ahve to have proper key in table..
