Date Filter Shortcut strange value

Hello,
I have a problem with some users. When the user enter the value "p1" in a form to set a filter on a date, Nav converts it as "01/01/12..31/12/9999" instead of "01/01/12..31/01/12".
Does anyone know which setting I have to change to get the right value!
Thanks.

you should fill up the table of accounting periods

The last Accounting Period, where New Fiscal year is set as True. And it should be January. With this Condition the Latest Month will be considered as 'p1', Feb as 'p2'....--
