Options
To Business Analytics or Not to Business Analytics

Hi everyone,
I come to you for guidance.
The company where i work is in a process of reorganizing internally the way we do BI.
One of the aspects that is in discussion is the products available and what should we use.
Up until now we've used Business Analytics Advanced in a lot of our projects mainly due to it's price/quality ratio.
BA is a very nice product that allows you to have a lot of interesting functionalities with a reasonable price.
We build our own cubes so we use BA mainly for front-end purposes.
My dilema is that this product hasn't had major updates between NAV versions and i haven't been able to get a straight response from MSFT whether will it continue to exist in upcoming NAV versions or not.
I'd like to know what are your opinions on the product.
Do you use it a lot? Do you think that it will live on.
Should i be thinking in using other external front-ends?
We've also used Reporting Services, Excel + Sharepoint and TARGIT (BA is based on this product) but BA has basically the same functions (in some cases it has more) with a lower price.

I really recommend to purchase TARGIT, it has more updates (they are selling BA 2010 against BA 2K7 from MSFT) and a lot more of documentation and support.
Hope this helps.
It's made by Jet Reports. Since every company should have Jet Reports Express installed on their computer, transitioning to Jet Enterprise should be pretty simple.
