Dev Toolkit

General information - I have the documentation for the Dev Toolkit and what it does and stepping through, but have a couple questions that people may be able to answer from experience.
I understood that no changes can actually be made in the toolkit, therefore, previously, I used Compare 2 Versions as a reference and moved the changes into the newer version. Is this the typical process?
When I did the Developer course, my instructor indicated that the Merge tool was not very effective at that point and did not recommend using it. Would anyone recommend using the Compare and Merge? It sounds like a good premise, but would be nice to know how it works in real life.
Is there any way to delete a version from the toolkit once it has been imported?
Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

1) I do not recommend you to use the Merge in the NDT - it is buggy, if you search this forum for NDT, you can see the problems...
2) I use it only for searching for "Where used" etc...
3) You can remove whole "company" through Navision client... open the database with NA and remove the company... I did not try to remove only one version yet...0 -
3) To delete a version from the Toolkit :
- File - Import...
- In the Card, select the version to delete (with next-previous)
- Push F4
That's it ! \:D/
1) & 2) Aggreed with Kine !0 -
Thanks for your input. I appear to be on the right track. Ability to delete a version is a bonus. I just wanted to ensure I wasn't making things any more laborious than necessary.
Thanks again!SGM0
