NAV2009 R2 Data Migration with Excel 2003

hi folks!

i have a problem while exporting data through RIM/data migration to excel. My customer uses excel 2003.
The error message is: "Message for C / AL programmers: The call to member XmlMaps failed: (TBD) Nur XL XML Pro SKU!"

the last part of the message is german. I have no idea where it comes from and what it means. Is Excel 2003 supported with NAV2009 R2?

yes i did. this works pretty fine. but i cant open the xml file with Excel 2003

Excel shows strange signs but no error message.

Currently I have no screen shot, sorry.
Its not the table structure what I expect, its only like hieroglyphics.

What could solve the problem?

I don't believe Office 2003 works with NAV2009 R2.

why not? in system requirements documents of microsoft it is named to work for outlook sync and budget export etc.

i have read that it could work in dependency of the office pack ( basic or professional). could that be?
XML features have been added to office 2003 but maybe only to professional edition?
