After Upgrade Login, Permissions issues

l have doesn't the 3.7 to 4.0 upgrade but the 3.7 users(windows logins) cannot login to the new DB. I re-create the accont, and it tells me that the user already exists, and the user has no roles after that?!!! How can l restore the original users and roles?
