Can anybody help,
We have NAV 5.0 SP1 on SQL Server 2005.
We need NAS but I can't install it. Error msg appears
Is installation folder damaged or what ?
Also, the file Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1 Application Server.pdf in Nas folder is probably damaged and I can't open it.
Thanks

Well, no, that did not really help all the way through. If the installer failed to do it's thing and you copied the files to the machine, some resources might be missing or be present in an incompatible version. Depending on what you do with the application server, you might run into trouble later on.
It's like coping a classic client to a machine, instead of installing it. You will be able to open a database and do allmost anything, but some things mysteriously fail. Microsoft expressively discourages this on a customer's computer and only allows for copying an older version on a computer where a newer version is installed already exclusively for development purposes.
To find out, what went wrong with your installation you might find a hint in the eventlog, or else start the installation using msiexec and the .msi file enabling logging. Then analyze the log und fix the cause of the installation failure.0 -
In most cases you are missing the vcredist_x86.exe (or vcredist_x64.exe) package. Download it and install it.0
