Thank you.

NAV 7? It was not released yet and all informations regarding it are under NDA. If you have access to it, you are bound by the NDA or you have it illegally... [-(0

Anything you hear about NAV7 at this point are rumors and lies. :-$Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant = my blog

There won't be any Forms and the old reporting engine is going away....but thats just what I've seen on blogs.
I'm hoping we'll see some more on this at Directions next month.0 -

Yeah thats pretty much what I figured....and it's the usual process of how MS releases their Dynamics NAV product, work with the larger partners to find a few test sites, build it, roll it out, address issues THEN release to the broader community.
It certainly doesn't appear to be as transparent a process as when they do their CTP of Visual Studio and other products - so I'm not a huge fan of the process, but I can appreciate why they do it.0 -

Yeah that's one of the issues is that you can see it provide feedback but can't comment on it. Which IMHO limits the feedback that MS is getting on the product to a very small subset of users and partners.
I'm assuming this lowers their risk for a poor reception of the product....but I think it also increases the risk that partners are not prepared for changes and some will feel that they are not engaged in the process.0 -
Anyone can now download a beta of Windows 8 and it is not due out for over a year.
Maybe the Windows group is more confident in their ability to handle criticism and feedback - as well as preparing the way for their new features.David Machanick

At Directions 2011 next month you will have plenty of oportunities to give feedback. I.e. I will be running 5 sessions on Reporting and would love to get feedback. If you want to connect in between my sessions this will also be possible, I'm there all week. If you want to connect with anybody else, on the product team, during the Directions week, I can arrange that as well. Of course if you are not attending Directions then it will be hard to give feedback on the new stuff.
If you have new product suggestion on a feature missing the current released version, I suggest you create them here: https://connect.microsoft.com/dynamicssuggestions. We monitor and answer all incoming suggestion, if not, we get no cake on Thursdays

I'm also offering RDLC Report Training, ping me if you are interested. Thanks to the 700 NAV developers that have now already been at my training. You know you can always call if you have any RDLC report issues :-)0
