Printing external documents as part of report

This general topic has been discussed numerous times, but unfortunately I have yet to find a solution to my particular version of the problem.
Our customer has various documents associated with production orders. When they print the Job Card, they want those documents to print with the Job Card. These documents can be Word, Excel, or (in most cases) PDF. I have used the Shell method to get the documents to print, but it's not viable - I need to be able to control the tray the documents come out of (much of the information is 8.5 x 11, but some is 11 x 14). Loading to a BLOB and printing on a seperate report with the printer definition trick is not really an option because to control the printing, the documents would all have to be converted to BMP to be printed in an Image Box, and that's not viable.
Does anyone know of a way, or an Automation (free is good, $'s if I have to) that allows me to print documents that are stored externally AND control the printer (at least at the Tray level).
