Hello,
I've been searching for the best way to retrieve codeunit data or a xml from dynamics nav v5 each time that is requested by a asp.net c# web portal. What i need to do is to populate a chart that is placed in the portal with data from the nav database, but this data needs to be processed before being sent. I can process the data using a codeunit or a xmlport, my doubs are about how to make the connection beetween the portal and the nav database.
I appreciate any help,
thanks :P

It may not be of help in your situation, but if you upgrade to Nav 2009 you can publish codeunits as a web service, thus have the codeunit respond to xml requests for data.0

Hello, thank you for your response. I just dont understand how to call the NAS event and to pass the parameters from my Asp.net portal. Any ideas?0 -
You should send XML request to the ip, where NAS is installed. NAS should proceed you request and send you the response.Sincerely yours, GRIZZLY
