Hi all,
I'm writing a report which has two header sections (the data items for the two headers are at the same indentation level). Could someone please tell me how I can force the second header to print on a new page?
Many thanks,
Dan

I still have a problem with this..
I have used the NEWPAGE function in the OnAfterGetRecord trigger and the PrintOnEveryPage property is set to true for the header. I'm now getting the header printed twice on the first page this header is printed.
Could someone please explain why this is? and how I can get around it?
Many thanks,

Is there any blank header?
did you try by adding the code in On pre section trigger?0 -
Hi,
I tried putting the NEWPAGE call in the OnPreSection trigger, but I get the same result. The header prints twice on the first page it appears, first time with no body. After the first page the header only prints once per page as expected.
Thanks0 -
If I set PrintOnEveryPage to false, the header only prints once in that section. So it seems NEWPAGE is causing an extra header to be printed?0
-
The page break generated by NEWPAGE is treated exactly like the page breaks that are generated automatically with one exception, footers and headers will be printed in the same way as when an automatic page break occurs, but transport footers and headers are not generated and printed.0

Okay, so is there another way of forcing a new section to appear on a new page without duplicating the header?
Thanks.0 -
there may be some information missing in between..
can you show the sections screenshot of report?0 -
Sorry, I can't post a screenshot. The sections look like this though:
DataItem1, Header (1)
DataItem1, Header (2)
DataItem1, Header (3)
DataItem1, Header (4)
DataItem1, Body (5)
>DataItem2, Body (1)
DataItem3, Header (1)
DataItem3, Body (2)
Its the header for data item 3 that is causing the problem. The first page it gets displayed gives me:
Header
Header
Body0 -
Are you sure you tried by copying the above code in OnPreSection trigger of DataItem3, Header (1)?0
-
Yes definately..I'm very confused. It seems to me you cant use PrintOnEveryPage when using NEWPAGE without getting a duplicate header on the first occurence! Very odd... ](*,)0
-
Set PrintOnEveryPage to No and try0
-
That does work, but I only get the header on the first page of the section0
-
You mean when you have 2 pages data..you need it in 2 pages?
why dont you use Transheader ?0 -
Thanks Mohana, that works. It means I have an identical Header and transheader, but good work around0
-
Yes, you will have same header and transheader..
