Does axapta provide builtin reports like "profit & loss statement" ,
"Sales reports" , "Balance sheet", "customer account statement" etc...

Are these reports available when axapta is installed or the partner or
developer builds these reports....

Lastly ..... if these reports are available ..... can end-user who is
not a developer modify the report e.g. add or remove some related
fields without programing knowledge.

Thank you.

    Hi,

Axapta has standard reports including the ones you have mentioned. They can be modified by X++ which is the coding language of Axapta and also new reports can be created.

    Hi,

in addition to what already has been said I just want to drive your attention to the "Financial Statement" in the G/L module.

There the user has the ability to define columns (e. g. for different periods) and lines (basing on the chart of accounts).

If you put some efforts into the setup of the chart of accounts (this means to make a proper setup of "Header" and "Total" accounts, of formatting setup etc.) it is quite easy to build new financial statements.

    Hi,

Axapta as a whole is enriched with report generation possibilities for generating reports by end-user. You can start with -

    - using the report wizard under tools menu. This is an excellent report writer tool using which end users can generate basic reports quite easily.

    - also whenever you are in any form - ex customer/vendor/item master, SO, PO etc try clicking the printer icon in the tool bar. These are basically auto reports.

    - if the users are techno savvy probably you can go down the route of using OLAP. Using this technology, powerful reports can be generated quite easily.

    - otherwise you can go down the route of using a 3rd party report writer like Atlas XL, etc.

    - last but not least as the other user mentioned, you can use either X++ for complex reports or MorphX (drag & drop) for simple reports.

The last two suggestions, probably you would be better off by getting it done through a qualified Developer.

    Hope this helps,
