Variant code- Set it Mandatory

Hi All,

I am working with Microsoft Nav 2009 SP1 and am using variant code on the items, while doing a positive adjustment on item journal i noticed that the line is posted without prompting to enter the variant code. Is there a way to set it to mandatory so that whenever I do a purchase or sales or inventory adjustment the system prompts me to enter variant code.

In CU-90 On Run, write

TESTFIELD("Variant Code");

Or maybe in codeunit 22?!

Codeunit 22 creates the "Item Ledger Entries". We did some coding in this codeunit for our customers to get an error while posting without a variant code, if there is one for the item. Otherwise the system doesn't check the variant code as mandatory.
