RTC Report Header and Footer

Hi All,

I have created a RTC Report and the header and footer are not printed on the Report.

Following actions were taken by me in order to Test printing of Header

01 ) ReportItems!Sales_Order_Details_Caption.VALUE was added to Header Text Box
02) invisible Field was added to Details section Fields!Sales_Order_Details_Caption.VALUE

After the above test conducted the issue is remaining.

I would like to seek recommendation or Solution to resolve the above issue.

is the section in which you have added the company name field is printing?

You can check the base reports how comany name is working..

Hi sameerar,
You can not add fields directly onto the header or footer like this, you need to add them as hidden fields in the body and then refer to it in the header.

this is not true: you CAN add "reportitems!...." texboxes in header and footer sections (take a look at the screenshot), thus mohana's post (and the linked one) should be enough to solve the problem

for the group header
why i sometimes have very large space?
anyone know about this?

maybe because you hide some controls in the report header: even if the textboxes are hidden, the space of the header is eaten, no matter what

another problem of my RTC report is....
while preview i can see in Page header
but after i print it... it will be disappeared...
i'm using this code for page header --> =ReportItems!Sales_Invoice_Header___Bill_to_Name_.Value
is there something wrong?

put a colored rectangle in the header and footer. If you can preview it but it is not printed, there are probably different margins in printer setup and report properties.
