Error comes in purchas Line when deleting data from Database

Hi Experts,
I am deleting the data from data base(using object designer->Table),an error has comes in Purchase Line table that is,
A value in the Filter 'PTQ/10-11/00002 in the Sub Order Number field in the Delivery Challan Header table is too long for the field type.
Type:Code 10
Plz suggest me what is the solution of this error.

I think the solution is to fix the customized code
Use the debugger to figure out where the error is. 0
