Has anyone come up with any working practices for automatically or even manually failing over a middle tier service? I know the Middle Tier service is not cluster aware so just wondering how people manage this.

Also because of the suggested number of concurrent connections per middle tier service, wondering what people are doing with load balancing. Is is possible to use windows NLB for the middle tier services?

Thanks

We recently created multiple instances on the same server to connect to the Nav SQL server. We started with just 1 instance and we have created 10 and have started 3. We will slowly move groups of people to different instances. For Example: IT, FINANCE, OFFICE, SALES, SHIPPING....

The way I am looking at it my CPU utilization with 1 instance is so low it is ridicules. I want to use more horse power .....my gig connection is also way way under utilized...

From what I read it should help....how much dont know yet..
