Port Configuration

Hello
As far as I understand, there are 2 possibilities to specify port number for the client:
1: In Services file on the machine where the client is started from
2: In the configuration string of the icon, where the client is started from, syntax "...servername=myserver:portno..".
This works fine for me, but recently I had to work with a 2.x version and it seemed to me, that port number was ignored if it was in the configuration string (with services file it works). Can someone confirm this? Of course I know 2.x is eol anyway.
Thanks in advance
Thomas

It could be... The version 2.x was very limited in some things, and this could be one of them. Your "issue" rings the bell, but it is long time I have worked with this version... :-)0
