Unknown user - shows SID

Hi!
Have a customer with three servers.

Server 1 = (Windows Server 2008 R2) AD server
Server 2 = SQL 2008 R2 server
Server 3 = (Windows Server 2008 R2) Terminal Server with client.

I add a user in AD on server 1. Go to Server 3 (ts) start Nav 2009 Sp1 (Build 6.00.31051) classic. Go to security - add windows user.
I go to a new line, click the list button, find the user in the list click the username, then it shows the SID instead of the username. If i press enter or click on a new line it says "Unknown user".

I've seen this error in another forum but no solution to it. Has anyone else heard of this problem?

    In most cases it is because the system cannot read the user name from active directory (e.g. because the user is not domain user but some local user).

    Hi thanks for the reply.

    The users are domain users and added as domain users as well. When i list all users they are shown correctly, that is domain\username but once i select it and add it, the domain\username changes to a sid number instead?
