NAV2009SP1 vs NAV2009R2

Dear All,

Is it possible to use the same server as nav server for both versions at the same time? I was trying to install the second database by creating a service and using the same procedure when creating multiple databases for NAV2009SP1 but it is not working and I am suspecting that I have to install NAV2009R2; something not possible as the other version is still installed.

It's possible. We have service tiers for both versions running on our test server. There's a help file that explains how to install multiple service tiers. It's also on the NAV help.

I have tried to look for documentation but I didn't find anything about how two different version can work together. The only documentation which I have found was more focused onto upgrades and installation.

Why not? Just install the other service. Stop the service. Change the files to the required version and start the service again.
