Running on the RTC on laptop without network

HI

I have made a local 3-tier setup on my laptop for demo purpose. I have the SQL server, service tier and client running. Everything works fine.

But here comes the problem. If I use my laptop without having a network attaced (no network cable attached and not wifi). I get the following error when I try to start the RTC:

The network is currently not avaible. Repair the network and retry.

On my lenovo t500 aptop (running win7) all netcards are deactivated when I am not using them so I guess that is the problem.

Does anybody have a solution for this? When I am out demonstrating I do not always have my laptop hooked up to a network.

    SQL Server requires a network adapter to be present and active. Install the MS Loopback connector for use when off the network.
    There are no bugs - only undocumented features.
