Import Notes

I have tried importing notes in NAV by using the import function in code as well as streaming them in using a port. I am able to import successfully. However, whenever I import any text into the notes blob field the role tailored client. If I enter a note through the client and export it, it seems as though there is a special format it creates. Any suggestions on how I can import a customers notes?
