HELP WITH RTC

Hi guys Im new to RTC. or nav 2009..

Just want to ask about..

1. How can i choose different roles when i open RTC?
- whenever I open the RTC it opens the sales role immediately.. I would want to have an option to choose from different roles.

2. What tables will I have to add logins to?

3. I have installed a developer environment option. ( DOn't know if this is the option that I need to install)

By the way Im a newbie..:) Ive been learning nav 5.0 for the past 2 months and now Im shifting to nav 2009.. I hope Im in the right direction:)

    Hi,
    You can't select a role when logging on. It is determined by the default role or by the user personalisation if you have set it per User ID (see Role Tailored Client in Administration).

    there's a tool (possibly in the download section) that does allow you to select a role when you open the RTC, but it's not from NAV. I use it in my development environment to save time, but not in a production environment yet.

    You can specify the role in parameter in the shortcut. You can have different shortcut on the desktop for different roles. It is easiest way...
