Negative Consumption Posting in NAV Dynamics

Hi,

Can anyone know how to avoid negative consumption posting while output posting in NAV?

I have set Flushing method as Backward for raw materials. When I post output to the finish good, even though, raw materials are not in the inventory, negative item ledger entries were posted.

Is there any specific setup to overcome this? :-k

Hi,

Posting output that create consumption isn't possible if the consumption item isn't in inventory. If you can do this something is wrong in your database. Any customizations pherhaps?

No, I tried with the standard NAV.

This is not due to any customization. I hope this is happening due to some settings.

But couldn't find them yet.

I'm using version W1 5.0 SP1.

Is that due to account setup?

No that could be a bug in SP1, have you tried this in another version?

No, it is by design. It is designed so that you can undo the consumption.

This is a bug in NAV 5. It has been corrected 5.0 SP1
