how to explain difference between flowfilter and fieldfilter

hi everyone, yesterday i've had hard time while trying to explain to an end user the difference between a flowfilter and a normal fieldfilter...i tried in all the ways i thought...taking item table as an example, fieldfiltering on inventory, and then also flowfiltering on it (through location code filter), to let him see the results...
How do you explain this critical feature to your customers?

The normal filter applies to the data you see on the screen, the flowfilter flows down to the able below.

Field FIlter - which lines you see
Flow Filter - have effect to some fields - from which data are calculated (but first explain the principle of FlowFields... ;-))

I know that it is nearly same as David wrote, but... 8)

I think it's because FlowField isn't clear. Otherwise I would have doubts that she gets her job in a normal way.

yes, it's hard to explain flowfields, and this makes harder flowfilters, too...i think it's just a matter of time...
i'm trying to fix the concept of table, record, field, primary key, up to now...back to square one

another one difference is...
flowfilter can only use for flowfield while fieldfilter use for field either it simple or flowfield.

Try with a small example on paper.
-table 27 with 2 or 3 items with flowfield "Inventory" and the flowfilter fields.
-table 32 with some records in it with location code and explain what how "Inventory" changes with the different filters in the flowfilters (and also normal filters)

I'll try that...i did it through nav by clicking the inventory field on the item card, but she has probably miss some step because of windows switching...
