hi everyone, yesterday i've had hard time while trying to explain to an end user the difference between a flowfilter and a normal fieldfilter...i tried in all the ways i thought...taking item table as an example, fieldfiltering on inventory, and then also flowfiltering on it (through location code filter), to let him see the results...

I think it's because FlowField isn't clear. Otherwise I would have doubts that she gets her job in a normal way."Money is likewise the greatest chance and the greatest scourge of mankind."0

she've seen nav her first time this monday, and it's her first ERP
yes, it's hard to explain flowfields, and this makes harder flowfilters, too...i think it's just a matter of time...
i'm trying to fix the concept of table, record, field, primary key, up to now...back to square one0 -
another one difference is...
flowfilter can only use for flowfield while fieldfilter use for field either it simple or flowfield.0 -
Try with a small example on paper.
-table 27 with 2 or 3 items with flowfield "Inventory" and the flowfilter fields.
-table 32 with some records in it with location code and explain what how "Inventory" changes with the different filters in the flowfilters (and also normal filters)Regards,Alain Krikilion
