NAV 2009 Security Sync SLOW.....

We have a NAV 2009 installation on SQL 2008. The Nav and SQL are on separate boxes. The syncing of security, no matter where you do it from, takes about 90 minutes for 30 users... It seems way too slow. Any idea what could improve this performance ?

Recovery Models: Full, Simple, Bulk-logged

Actually I can never remember the options, and was guessing, but this time looks like this time I got it right.
