NAV 3 Tier Architecture

Hi All,

I had installed SQL Server & Dynamics NAV Server in different Machines.

When I start roletailored Client from NAV Server It is connecting to SQL Server fine No issue.

But when I Start Role Tailored Client from Client machine It is giving error Login failed when connecting to SQL SERVER "SQL SERVER NAME".

Please advise.

Hello Anil,

You can connect with the RTC successfully on the machine running the NAV Server service, but you can't connect on a client machine to the NAV Server service? Are you able to connect directly to the SQL Database using the classic client from the client machine?

Hi,

Yes Correct. But I can connect using classic client from Client machine using the Windows Account. I only can't connect Role Tailored Client.

When the RoleTailored client, Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server, and SQL Server are installed on separate computers you have to set up delegation for it. Check it out following link.
