Session table bug - blank space in front of the USER ID

I've seen an instance in 2009 Native 6.0 where the session tables User ID is inccorect. The system has padded the User ID with a blank space (' Alex') which is causing a few issues. This does not happen the in SQP version.
Has anyone seen this before?
