Multiple dimension values madatory for G/L Account?

Dear All,

I want to set Multiple dimension values mandatory for G/L account.

Is it possible to set it by default ?

    Do you mean the following:

    From the Chart of Accounts select the accounts you want and then go to: Account -> Dimensions -> Dimensions-Multiple?

    Dear,

    It is not accepting to set multiple.

    Example:
    Dimension- Cost centre
    Dimension Values - Sales,Finance,yard,purchase,

    Account No : 2215
    I try to set this account for multiple cost center
    Sales and yard
    It is not accepting. Pls suggest.

    You mean multiple dimension values for the same dimension code?

    Yes exactly. I need to set Multiple dimension Values mandatory for the single G/L account.

    But you can have only a single value for each dimension code.

    You cannot have Dimension Code Color and values Red,Blue,Green for the same account. :-k

    Can you explain for what type of transactions you are attaching this type of Dimensions?

    I think that you know you can chage the Default Dimension values in the Documents / Journals before posting.
