NAV 5 SP1 SQL Second NAS server stopped working...

We have an installation where we are using two NAS instances (installed in spearate directories etc). The second instance is only created when needed and then removed (uninstallasservice) once it's task was done. All worlks well as far as we can tell, but when something finally does go wrong, it hangs and we get the dreaded "Your program license does not permit more users to work simultaneously" message in the event log.

We do have code in place to recognize a failed start of the NAS and to shut it down and uninstall. No connections show in either the session info on the NAV side, nor in sp_who on the SQl side, but NAV remains convinced we are still using up our licensed number of Application Servers and will not allow the second app server to connect.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we might handle this?
